Coast Union High School senior cross country runner David Amodei was named the boys’ MVP by coaches Ayen Johnson and Wade Lawrence. The girls MVP was freshman Amy Colin, and the Coach’s Award went to sophomore Jorge Merced.
Cambria native Mario Mendoza has been named USA Track & Field Mountain Ultra Trail Running Council’s “Ultra Runner of the Year” for 2018. Mendoza has previously won the “Sub-Ultra” category three times.
