Shanley Farms in Morro Bay grows exotic fruit, including the finger lime, a rainforest shrub that produces a microcitrus with a pearl-like flesh that looks like beads of caviar — "the coolest thing I've ever seen," said farmer Jim Shanley. He plans to sell individual jars of the Citriburst finger lime pearls, described as “citrus caviar.”
