Tribune’s Best: Vote for SLO County’s top athlete from May 15-22
With plenty of CIF-Central Section playoff action in multiple spring sports last week, who do you have for San Luis Obispo County high school Athlete of the Week?
We’ve got a list of 20 standout student-athletes covering competition from May 15-22.
Last week’s top vote-getter was Nipomo baseball player Nate Reese, who tallied 4,439 votes (57%). Reese was followed by Vivianne Goss, a Nipomo softball player, who tallied 2,985 votes (39%). The poll covered the week of May 9-15.
In the spring reader poll for fans to select the top SLO County hitter in high school baseball, Arroyo Grande’s Ryan Tayman, a junior who’s committed to play at Cal Berkeley, won with 7,617 votes (85%) followed by Bryson Hoeir, of Paso Robles, with 848 votes (848).
Remember, this is a fun, unscientific poll, and you may vote as many times as you wish to support your selection for The Tribune’s Athlete of the Week.
