Tribune’s Best: Vote for SLO County’s top athlete for March 7-13

In the full swing of spring competition, 20 athletes are candidates for San Luis Obispo County high school athlete of the week.

Last week’s winner was Nipomo High wrestler Austria Holland, who garnered 37,230 votes (45%) in a close poll.

Runners-up were Josh Caw-it of Nipomo volleyball with 31,7672 votes (38%) and Mikaylee Gordon of Mission Prep softball with 9,748 votes (12%).

This week’s poll covers March 7-13.

This is a fun, unscientific poll, and you may vote as many times as you wish to support your selection for The Tribune’s Athlete of the Week.

The poll closes at midnight on Sunday. To vote again, hit refresh.

Coaches, parents or students may nominate an athlete for next week’s prep poll consideration by emailing nwilson@thetribunenews.com and providing game stats for your nominee (full player name, stats and result of game, meet or match). Please write “Athlete of the Week nominee” in the subject line.

Polls will post weekly on Tuesdays through the end of the school year.

Have fun voting, and good luck!
