SLO Costco gas station is closing for 64 days. Here’s where you can buy cheap gas
Costco Wholesale customers soon won’t be able to fuel up at its San Luis Obispo warehouse for more than two months.
The Costco gas station will temporarily close for 64 days beginning on Monday, Aug. 25, according to a sign posted at its store at 1540 Froom Ranch Way.
The pumps will be shut down so major renovations can occur.
Costco plans to add 10 fuel pumps — nearly doubling its current capacity — under a 9,256-square-foot canopy extension, according to an application filed with the city in March 2024.
The popular members-only warehouse store will also expand its parking lot with an additional 129 spaces behind Home Depot.
The main store will remain open while construction is underway.
“We appreciate your continued patronage and apologize for the inconvenience caused to our valued members,” the sign said.
Even though Cosco’s cheap gas is coveted around town, there are some other fuel stations in and around San Luis Obispo that also offer low prices.
