Looking to rent in SLO County? Here are 10 listings for less than $1,600 a month

Looking for a place to rent in San Luis Obispo County? It could cost you a pretty penny.

San Luis Obispo renters can expect to pay an average of $2,800 per month across all property types, according to the latest data from real estate website Zillow.

Rent in Paso Robles is slightly more expensive at an average of $2,900 per month, while the average in Atascadero is $2,500 per month and Morro Bay is $2,750 per month, according to Zillow.

These San Luis Obispo County properties are nearly aligned with California’s average monthly rent of $2,821.

The Tribune looked through available listings in SLO County to find rental prices below the area’s average rental rates.

Where can I find the cheapest places to rent in SLO County?

As of Wednesday, Aug. 13, Zillow listed more than 700 rental properties available in San Luis Obispo County.

Some of the lowest rental prices were found in Paso Robles and Pismo Beach. Atascadero, Los Osos, Morro Bay and San Luis Opispo also had some affordable options for renters.

As of Wednesday, these were 10 apartments and homes available to rent for less than $1,600 a month in SLO County, according to Zillow:

  • 1. $1,300 — 1001 Shell Beach Road, Pismo Beach
  • 2. $1,300 — 1425 El Camino Real, San Luis Obispo
  • 3. $1,300 — 1804 Spring St., Paso Robles
  • 4. $1,400 — 4600 Seperado Ave., Atascadero
  • 5. $1,400 — 515 Arleen St., Paso Robles
  • 6. $1,400 — 525 Arleen St., Paso Robles
  • 7. $1,450 — 1221 Price St., Pismo Beach
  • 8. $1,500 — 440 Atascadero Road, Morro Bay
  • 9. $1,500 — 1143 16th St., Los Osos
  • 10. $1,585 — 1998 Main St., Morro Bay
