Want to work out before you pig out — and help a good cause? These fun runs are for you
Before you get to stuffing your stomach with turkey this Thanksgiving, the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County is asking for your help providing to the less fortunate with these three fun runs.
South County Turkey Trot
The 6th Annual South County Turkey Trot will take place in Pismo Beach at the South side of the pier Thursday; check-in begins at 8 a.m.
The trot includes a 1 mile, 5K and 10K, according to a news release. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a short leash.
The event is free, and no registration is required. T-Shirts and baseball caps will be for sale at the event, with all proceeds from those going to the Food Bank.
