Break out the incense and healing crystals — New Age music superstar Yanni is coming to the Central Coast next summer.

The Greek composer and keyboardist will perform June 5, 2018, at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles. The concert is part of a massive U.S. tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of his popular live album and concert movie, “Live at the Acropolis.”

Yanni, whose birth name is Yiannis Chryssomallis, first gained a following in the late 1980s with his dramatic live shows and synthesizer-heavy blend of jazz, soft rock, classical and world music. He earned two Grammy Award nominations for his albums “Dare to Dream” and “In My Time.”

But his true breakthrough was 1994’s “Live at the Acropolis,” recorded in Athens, Greece. Featuring Yanni’s own band as well as London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the chart-topping album garnered quadruple platinum sales and inspired a hit television special.

At his Paso Robles show, Yanni and his orchestra plan to recreate the Acropolis concert in its entirety.

Tickets for Yanni’s June 2018 concert cost $55 to $85, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.
