Tribune’s Best: Vote for SLO County’s top athlete from May 23-29

With the spring sports season coming to an end, some remaining teams and athletes were still at it this past week.

Who is your selection for SLO Tribune player of the week from May 23-29 from nine candidates?

Last week’s top vote-getter was Arroyo Grande baseball player Josiah Cabreros, who garnered 20,151 votes (52%). Arroyo Grande baseball teammate Niko Ikenoyama had 15,524 votes (40%) and Mission Prep softball player Roxanne Guerra had 1,219 votes (3%). The poll covered May 15-22.

Remember, this is a fun, unscientific poll and you may vote as many times as you wish to support your selection for The Tribune’s Athlete of the Week.

The poll closes at midnight on Sunday. To vote again, hit refresh.

Coaches, parents or students may nominate an athlete for next week’s prep poll consideration by emailing nwilson@thetribunenews.com and providing game stats for your nominee (full player name, stats and result of game, meet or match). Please write “Athlete of the Week nominee” in the subject line.

Have fun voting, and good luck!
