Rain is heading to SLO County. See when and how much in forecast
After surviving a historic heat wave, San Luis Obispo County may see a sprinkle of spring rain next week, according to the National Weather Service.
First, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles can expect sunny days with temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the weather service said.
Meanwhile, Morro Bay can expect patchy fog in the mornings and evenings on Friday and Saturday with sunny afternoons and temperatures reaching the mid-to-high 60s.
On Monday, San Luis Obispo can expect mostly cloudy skies and high near 81 degrees. Paso Robles is forecast to have mostly cloudy skies with a high near 79 degrees, and Morro Bay can expect a mostly cloudy Monday with a high near 74 degrees.
Finally, on Monday night, there’s a slight chance of rain after 11 p.m. in San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay, the weather service said. In Paso Robles, Monday night should be cloudy without rain.
San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Morro Bay all have a chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday with otherwise partly cloudy skies, the weather service said.
Despite the recent heat wave, San Luis Obispo County is not experiencing drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.
As of Thursday, the Salinas Reservoir, also known as Santa Margarita Lake was more than 100% full, according to San Luis Obispo County.
Meanwhile, Lake Nacimiento was 66% full, and Lopez Lake was about 87% full.
