Portions of Highway 1 along the Big Sur coast closed Sunday following the storm over the weekend.

Highway 1 was closed for six miles just north of Ragged Point Inn and Resort due to minor rockfall and water flooding the road, according to a Caltrans District 5 post on X.

On the north end of Highway 1 in Monterey County at Post Mile 4.7 the road was also closed off, the post said. There was no estimate for reopening as of Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, the longstanding closure at Regent’s Slide on Highway 1 in Big Sur was still in effect as Caltrans estimates a reopening for March this year, according to the department’s website.
