As the rainy weekend proceeds into Sunday, parts of San Luis Obispo County have been placed under weather advisories. Meanwhile, some roads remained closed as others reopened overnight.

The National Weather Service announced predicted coastal flooding and high surf along beaches in SLO County, advising people to stay away from the water and to take necessary action to protect property.

The flood advisory was expected to last until 1 p.m. Sunday, while the high surf advisory was predicted to conclude at 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Some roads have partially closed due to flooding, including California Boulevard in San Luis Obispo by the Highway 101 freeway ramps, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incidents page.

South of SLO County, the left lane opened this morning on northbound Highway 101 near Goleta after Caltrans cleared debris from the rain overnight, the department said on its X account.

The highway was previously closed in both directions Saturday due to a series of mudslides. Both lanes of southbound Highway 101 reopened Saturday.
