The latest storm system hit San Luis Obispo County overnight, causing power outages, a small mudslide and minor flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory that lasted until 9 a.m. Saturday.

“Expected impacts include minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, along with ponding of water on roadways,” the SLO County Office of Emergency Services said. “Motorists are reminded to take extra precautions during early morning hours when flooding hazards can be harder to see.”

A wind advisory was in effect for much of SLO County until 6 p.m. Saturday, according to the Weather Service. The forecast called for winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

A power outage cut off electricity to 1,067 PG&E customers in the Creston area shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday. PG&E crews responded to the outage, and by 10 a.m., that number was down to 162, according to PG&E’s outage report map..

Power was expected to be restored at 12:45 p.m., the outage status reads.

On Highway 41, a mudslide was reported on the roadway between Morro Bay and Atascadero, but the highway remained open.

And flooding closed a portion of Highway 1 between Oso Flaco Road and Division Street in Guadalupe after a couple cars got stuck in the water, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Flooding was also reported on Highway 1 near Winterhaven Way in Nipomo.

Showers were expected to continue over the next few days, all the way through Tuesday.
