Some SLO County spots received more than 6 inches of rain in 5-day storm
Five days of storms brought more than 6 inches of rain to San Luis Obispo County spots, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 10 a.m. on Saturday, the sequence of atmospheric river storms had soaked the county with as much as 6.80 inches in Santa Margarita and 6.77 inches at the Nacimiento River.
Atascadero received 5.04 inches, while 4.53 inches fell at Cal Poly. The lowest recorded total for the county was Cambria, with 1.25 inches.
The storms made for record-breaking weather in Paso Robles.
According to the National Weather Service, the North County city recorded 1.92 inches and 0.91 inches of rain on Dec. 24 and 25, respectively.
That broke the previous Christmas Eve and Christmas Day records for the city, 1.68 inches in 1955 and 0.7 inches in 1971, the Weather Service said.

What’s ahead in SLO County’s forecast
The county will get a chance to dry out over the next few days with sunny skies and a high near 58 predicted for San Luis Obispo on Saturday and 62 on Sunday, according to the Weather Service.
Cloudier conditions are expected in the North County this weekend with a high near 56 in Paso Robles.
Showers could return in time for New Year’s Eve followed by what looks to be another multi-day period of rain from New Year’s Day through the weekend.
