Rain arrives on the Central Coast. How long will it last?
The National Weather Service predicted light rain will fall along the Central Coast Saturday evening, with the wet weather possibly lasting into Monday.
The agency posted on X that light rain would spread from the Central Coast to Ventura and Los Angeles counties
With thunderstorms and heavier showers more likely Sunday and Monday, the agency warned of the potential for “debris flows and mudslides in and around burn scars in L.A. County.”
The Weather Servide posted an additional warning of increased risk of rain rates and thunderstorms south of Point Conception in Santa Barbara County.
The wet weather warning came following a dry January, meaning greater wildfire risks across SLO County.
Both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles can expect rain showers to continue into Monday morning.
