SLO County received plenty of rain this weekend. Here’s how much fell in your area
Rain lashed the Central Coast, which lead to flood advisories to be issued for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties on Sunday.
From 3 p.m. Saturday through 3 p.m. Sunday, when the rain began to subside across the area, San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport saw 0.89 inches of rain, according to PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey.
Los Osos received 1.37 inches and Cambria saw 1.58 inches during that 24-hour period, according to PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey.
The Paso Robles Municipal Airport reported 0.24 inches and Atascadero saw 0.24 inches, Lindsey said. Rocky Butte received the most rain, recording 2.84 inches in a 24-hour period.
An intensifying cold front is expected to move through the Central Coast later this week. The system should produce strong to gale-force (25 to 38 mph) southerly winds, and between 1.50 and 3 inches of rain, according to Lindsey.
Snow levels could drop to 2,500 feet, leaving a chance for snow on Christmas Day, he said.
Wet weather is could continue through the rest of the week, although details are unclear, Lindsey said.
