Wanted fugitive taken into custody in SLO County

Morro Bay police helped apprehend a wanted fugitive in the city on Monday afternoon.

Officers assisted the U.S. Marshals Service “with the apprehension of a wanted fugitive” in the 300 block of Mindoro Street around 12:20 p.m., the Morro Bay Police Department said in news release.

“The fugitive was taken into custody safely and peacefully,” the release said.

The agency said the investigation was still active and the name of the fugitive was not being released at this time.

Further information was not yet available as of Monday evening.
