3 more people arrested in Trevon Perry murder case, Paso Robles police say

Paso Robles police detectives and the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Trevon Perry, whose remains were likely found in Riverside a few months ago.

Nyessa Ron, 22; Valente Holquin III, 18, and Alberto Garzon, 25, were all arrested Wednesday and booked into San Luis Obispo Count Jail, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.

Ron and Holquin were arrested in Victorville while Garzon was arrested in Riverside, according to police.

In total, five people have now been arrested in connection to Perry’s case — and two remain in custody.

Perry had been missing since mid-March, when he was last seen leaving a friend’s home on foot after attending a small get-together.

In late June, the Paso Robles Police Department announced it had located human remains it believes belong to Perry in a Riverside home.

Prior to his disappearance Perry testified in a December 2019 preliminary hearing against 26-year-old Kejuan Bynum, who’s accused of fatally stabbing Perry’s friend Cristopher Vento Wilson.

Perry’s family have held several community vigils since his disappearance.

Wednesday’s arrests came nearly two months after 23-year-old Nicholas Ron Jr. of Paso Robles was arrested on suspicion of murdering Perry, and 24-year-old Vivian Rodriguez, also of Paso Robles, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder.

Nyessa Ron, Holquin and Rodriguez were no longer in San Luis Obispo County Jail custody as of Friday evening, according to jail booking logs.

Assistant district attorney Eric Dobroth said on July 1 that Rodriguez posted bail and was released shortly after her June 30 arrest.

Nicolas Ron Jr., who was believed to have been an acquaintance of Perry, has remained in custody since June 29, according to booking logs. He has appeared in court via Zoom at least once in connection to the murder trial.

Garzon also remained in jail as of Friday evening. He was being held for suspicion of being an accessory to the murder and his bail was set at $20,000, according to the booking logs.

The Paso Robles Police Department said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call detective Bryce Lickness at 805-227-7450 or Crime Stoppers at 805-549-STOP.
