Four arrested in fake-ID sting at bars in downtown San Luis Obispo

Four people were arrested in a fake-ID sting Thursday night in San Luis Obispo, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

The Deputy Sheriff Alcohol Compliance Team arrested four people on suspicion of possession of false identification at downtown San Luis Obispo nightclubs, officials said.

The operation was conducted between 6 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday.

A 19-year-old and three 20-year-olds were arrested. They were released and face misdemeanor charges.

Four people also were arrested during a fake-ID sting March 16 and 17, and four more were arrested in another operation March 10 and 11.

Officials said operations will continue through June 30.
