Driver taken to hospital after car flips onto its roof in SLO crash

A two-vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital on Monday morning in San Luis Obispo.

A BMW sedan traveling northbound on Broad Street took a left turn onto Sweeney Lane and collided with a Subaru Outback driving southbound on Broad Street at about 8:06 a.m., the San Luis Obispo Police Department said.

The Subaru flipped onto its roof, and the driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The BMW driver did not suffer injuries.

The crash caused major damage to the Subaru and minor damage to the BMW, police said.

DUI is not suspected as a cause of the crash, police said.
