A small vegetation fire threatened a structure in rural San Luis Obispo County on Thursday afternoon.

The fire sparked in a field on Ranchita Canyon Road near Von Dollen Road in San Miguel at about 3 p.m., according to the emergency response application PulsePoint.

The fire was almost 1 acre and moving toward a structure as of 3:15 p.m., according to emergency radio traffic.

Emergency responders sent an airplane to help fight the fire, according to radio traffic.

By 3:30 p.m., forward progress of the fire was halted at 1 acre.
