A power outage cut electricity to more than 900 local PG&E customers on Friday afternoon.

According to PG&E’s outage map, 921 customers on both sides of Highway 1 in Morro Bay lost electricity due to an unplanned outage at 2:43 p.m.

On its website, PG&E said a team was currently evaluating the electrical grid to “identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.”

Power is expected to be restored by 7:45 p.m., according to PG&E.
