A multi-vehicle pileup on Highway 101 injured several people and blocked traffic on Highway 101 in Templeton on Wednesday afternoon.

At 3:13 p.m, the California Highway Patrol received reports of four vehicles involved in a crash on the southbound side of Highway 101 south of Vineyard Drive, according to the CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page,

One of the vehicles deployed its airbags in the crash while all four came to a stop in the center divide and along the roadside, according to the CHP page.

CHP officers found six people with minor injuries at the scene of the crash, according to emergency service radio communications.

The crash slowed traffic to a crawl 10 minutes after the crash as CHP units arrived on scene, with the No. 2 lane still blocked by a vehicle, according to the CHP page.
