2.7-magnitude earthquake shakes SLO County. Did you feel it?

A 2.7-magnitude earthquake rattled a San Luis Obispo beach town on Thursday morning.

The earthquake struck about 13 miles northeast of San Simeon at about 5:38 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was located at a depth of 3.7 miles.

The 2.7 magnitude classified it as a minor earthquake that is often felt but only causes minor damage, according to Michigan Technological University.

Two people reported feeling the earthquake by 9:30 a.m., according to USGS.
