Firefighters doused a house fire that displaced half a dozen people before it could spread to nearby residences in Pismo Beach late Tuesday evening.

According to a post on X from Cal Fire, at around 11:55 p.m. firefighters from the Five Cities Fire Authority, Pismo Beach Fire Department, Cal Fire and San Luis Obispo Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a multi-unit residential building in the 500 block of Wadsworth Avenue.

One unit was fully involved in flames, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the room where it started, according to the post.

No injuries were reported, though six people were displaced, according to the post.
