Possible gas leak closes SLO County Road, CHP says
What was at first thought to be a potential gas leak partially closed down Los Osos Valley Road on Sunday evening.
California Highway Patrol closed the road from Ravenna to Palisades avenues in Los Osos around 6 p.m. due to a possible gas leak, the agency posted on social media.
Residents were directed to go through neighborhood streets as SoCal Gas investigated the incident.
The possible gas leak was resolved, and the road was reopened by Monday morning.
SoCal Gas spokesperson Brittany Paul told The Tribune crews were doing a “routine” repair on equipment in the area, and CHP helped close the road to protect employees as it was foggy.
Though the repair was unexpected, it was not a gas leak or worrisome to public safety, Paul said.
