Meet the finalists in The Tribune’s cutest cat contest
Here are the top 10 contenders in The Tribune’s cutest cat contest, along with a few fun facts about each adorable contestant to help inform your choice:
Casper, 11, has a knack for opening a drawer where treats are kept. The Nipomo cat also enjoys “alternatively torturing and loving his twin Jasper,” his owner said.
Cookie, a 4-year-old cat from Oceano, prefers “the diva lifestyle,” her owner said, and loves napping on “our bed, a sweater that we have laying on a chair or fresh folded laundry.” She also enjoys playing fetch with rubber bands.
Finnian, a 2-year-old cat from Los Osos, is fond of talking and cuddling.
Goblin, 3, loves being held. As a kitten, the Los Osos cat rode around in a wrap while his owner did things around the house.
LaRoy, a 6-year-old cat from San Luis Obispo, has two hobbies: sleeping and hunting.
Lellie, a 6-year-old cat from Nipomo, “spends her busy days bossing around the other animals, doing shifts in the window as neighborhood watch and unscrewing the lid off her treat jar to serve herself much-deserved snacks,” her owner said.
Oliver, also known as Ollie, is just 6 months old. The Arroyo Grande cat loves to retrieve balls like a dog.
Pancake’s name was inspired by his late brother, Waffles. The 1-year-old cat lives in Los Osos.
Tinker Bell, who lives in San Luis Obispo, is less than 2 years old. This princess likes to “hide in cupboards and surprise you as you walk by,” her owner said.
Woody, 9, is from Arroyo Grande. When he’s not sleeping in the clothes dryer, he prefers to snooze on a cozy lap.
How to vote for SLO County’s cutest cat
We previously had two polls with about 30 pets per contest, grouped by order of submission.
The first round of voting has closed, as has the second.
A total of 10 cuddly cats and kittens have moved on to the final round. Now we need your help to crown SLO County’s coolest cat.
Vote for at least one but no more than three of your favorite cats to take the top spot.
Tribune subscribers can vote as many times as they want.
