A car crashed through a fence and into a home in downtown San Luis Obispo on Friday afternoon, according to a post on X by the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

The collision happened just before 1 p.m. near the corner of Islay and Osos streets, the department said.

The car appeared to have driven off the road and into the side yard of the house, taking down a portion of fencing during the crash.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and treated the driver for minor injuries, police said. The passenger was uninjured.

DUI was not suspected, the department said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation by the Police Department.
