A late-night fire charred vegetation on the shoulder of Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday night.
At about 10 p.m., the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a report of a fire burning on Chorro Street on the shoulder of northbound Highway 101, the agency said on Facebook.
The San Luis Obispo City Fire Department soon extinguished the blaze, police said.
Photos of the fire show it burning vegetation beside a fence and a dumpster.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, police said.
