SLO County teen arrested after allegedly stabbing man in the chest during argument
A 16-year-old male was arrested after allegedly stabbing an adult man in the chest in Grover Beach on Thursday night
According to a post on Facebook by the Grover Beach Police Department, officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Manhattan Avenue shortly after 8 p.m.
Police determined that the teenager had been in an argument with the man before stabbing him once in the chest with a knife, causing significant injury, according to the post.
The victim was treated on the scene by emergency responders and then transported to the hospital for his injuries.
He is now in stable condition, police said.
The teen was arrested and transported to the San Luis Obispo County Juvenile Services Center, where he was booked on one charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon.
A family member of the suspect, 34-year-old Kelsey Shea Noll, was also arrested for allegedly interfering with the officer’s investigation, according to the post.
Noll was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of charges of obstructing a peace officer.
“There is no public safety risk,” the department said in a post on X Thursday evening.
