Heads up, drivers: Road work on Highway 41 in SLO County could cause delays. Here’s when
San Luis Obispo County drivers could face traffic delays this week as Caltrans performs work to prevent rock slides on Highway 41, the agency said in a news release.
On northbound and southbound Highway 41 just east of Toro Creek Road, Caltrans will remove lose rocks from slopes next to the road and clear rocks that fell into the rock net system, the agency said.
Caltrans will perform the work on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
One-way traffic will be enforced during the operation with flagging and electronic messaging boards, according to Caltrans.
Traffic delays shouldn’t last more than 20 minutes, the agency added.
Cambria’s Caltrans Maintenance Team and the District 5 Rock Scaling Team will complete the job, according to the release.
