Sheriff’s deputies respond to late-night reports of gunshots in San Miguel

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunshots heard in San Miguel late Thursday evening, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Around 10 p.m., deputies responded to reports of shots heard in the 500 block of 12th Street, the release said.

The Sheriff’s Office deployed additional resources to search for the source of the shots “out of an abundance of caution,” the release said.

One witness at the location reported they saw someone carrying a possible firearm, though detectives were unable to confirm that information, the release said.

No victims or suspects were located after a thorough investigation, the release said.

No further information on the incident was available, the release said.
