Plane with stuck throttle manages to land safely at SLO County Regional Airport
An airplane on Runway 29 at the San Luis Obispo Regional Airport was reported to have a stuck throttle but managed to land Saturday afternoon.
The airplane was 15 miles out from the airport about 3:02 p.m. and “made it safely to the ground” at 3:14 p.m., a dispatcher on Broadcastify said. One person was onboard.
The incident was an alert 2 category 1, meaning the aircraft landed safely, according to Cal Fire Station 21 personnel.
SLO City Fire did mutual aid with an ambulance battalion chief, crash rescue 21, water tender 21 and engine 21.
