CHP identifies passenger killed in SLO County car crash
California Highway Patrol released the name of the person killed in a car crash in San Miguel on Monday afternoon.
Diego Hernandez, 24, was the passenger who sustained a fatal injury in the Monday wreck, said CHP Officer Ellis.
Hernandez was riding in a 2015 Mazda 3 that hit a Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection of Vineyard Canyon Road and Indian Canyon Road in San Miguel on Monday, according to a news release from CHP.
Hernandez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the car crash, according to the release.
Noah Calvin, 19, was driving the Mazda, and Juan M.L. Gutierrez, 40, was driving the Silverado, the release said.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be involved in the crash, the release said.
