Paso Robles man killed in car crash in San Miguel
A Paso Robles man died in a car crash in San Miguel on Monday afternoon.
The man, who has not been yet been identified, was a passenger in a 2015 Mazda 3 that collided with a Chevrolet Silverado while making a left turn at the intersection of Vineyard Canyon Road and Indian Canyon Road, according to a news release from the CHP.
The front end of both vehicles collided, and the unidentified passenger received a fatal injury, the release said.
The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the car crash, according to the release.
Noah Calvin, 19, of Bradley was driving the Mazda at the time of the car crash and Juan M.L. Gutierrez, 40, of San Miguel, was driving the Silverado, the release said.
Calvin was transported by ambulance to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispowith minor injuries and Gutierrez was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
CHP does not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
