Dead man found under box truck in Grover Beach, police say

Police found a dead body in Grover Beach on Tuesday morning.

The Grover Beach Police Department received reports of a homeless man sleeping under a box truck in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue near 7th Street around 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police news release.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the man under the vehicle was deceased, according to the release.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Coroner and Grover Beach police detectives investigated the scene and determined that foul play was not involved in the death, the release said.

The man’s identity will not be released, according to police.
