Structure fire scorches SLO commercial building

San Luis Obispo City Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Santa Barbara Avenue in San Luis Obispo early Thursday morning.

The fire broke out at 2087 Santa Barbara Ave. around 7:30 a.m., according to PulsePoint. The structure fire was extinguished by around 8 a.m., according to a SLO City Fire tweet.

Damage would be seen from outside of the building. The fire department did not report any injuries.

According to the fire department, crews will remain on the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

Firefighters were asking Thursday morning that people use caution in the area.
