Emergency crews rescue woman who fell off cliff near Spooner’s Cove
Cal Fire and other local first responders rescued a woman who fell off a cliff in Montaña De Oro State Park in Los Osos on Tuesday evening.
According to a Cal Fire tweet around 7:30 p.m., crews responded to the Spooner’s Cove area of the park for reports of a woman over the side of the cliff.
Rescuers made contact with her shortly after and determined that she had major injuries.
By 8:30 p.m., she was safely rescued from the cliff and then transported to a local hospital.
The San Luis Obispo County Urban Search and Rescue Team, Five Cities Fire Authority, San Luis Obispo City Fire Department, California Highway Patrol and California State Parks all assisted in the response.
