Original story:

Firefighters are responding to a reported structure fire in San Miguel.

The fire was reported around 7:12 p.m. in the 13300 block of River Road, according to emergency response app, PulsePoint.

Crews on scene report a “fully involved residential structure fire” with flames spreading into the nearby vegetation, according to Cal Fire.

It’s the second fire reported in San Luis Obispo County Tuesday evening: at about the same time, a quick-moving brush fire blazed up the hill behind Cal Poly’s Cerro Vista Apartments residence hall.

That fire was stopped at one acre.

On Tuesday, the National Weather Service warned that hot weather across San Luis Obispo County’s interior valleys this week could bring increased risk of grass fires.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
