Good Samaritan rescues driver from burning vehicle in Grover Beach

A good Samaritan rescued a driver from a vehicle that was on fire off of El Camino Real in Grover Beach on Tuesday morning, according to the Grover Beach Police Department.

The Grover Beach Police Department and Five Cities Fire received a report around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday of a vehicle that had driven off the road and into a tree at the 1200 block of El Camino Real, police said in a Facebook post.

According to police, the vehicle was on fire when they arrived.

A person rescued the driver from the burning vehicle before first responders arrived, police said.

When units arrived, the driver was treated at the scene and the fire was quickly contained, according to police.
