Cabins at Lopez Lake are now open for reservations
Roughly four months after the San Luis Obispo County parks and recreation department announced it was adding cabins at Lopez Lake, they are now available for campers to reserve.
Lopez Lake supervising park ranger Matt Mohle said the cabins will be available this weekend for the first time.
“They’re brand spanking new,” he said. “We’re anxiously waiting to see some reservations.”
The three cabins are located at the South County recreation area’s Hawk camping area. They include a bunk bed with two queen-size mattresses, chairs, picnic tables and fire rings. There is no bathroom and no cooking appliances inside. Restrooms and coin-operated showers are located nearby at the marina.
The cabins can fit up to six campers and cost $125 per night, though that will change depending on holiday rates, Mohle said.
Reservations can be made by phone at 805-788-2381.
