Paso Robles structure fire caused by arson, investigators say

A fire that damaged a structure in Paso Robles was intentionally set, according to a news release from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services.

At around 5:30 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a fire in the 1000 block of Vine Street in Paso Robles.

A nearby resident who saw the fire was able to quickly put out the flames, minimizing structure damage, the release said.

Once firefighters said arrived, they determined that the fire may have been arson, according to the release.

After investigating, they found that flammable liquid was used to help start the fire, the release said.

The release did not specify the extent of the structure damage or if anyone was injured.

Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services is asking anyone with information regarding the arson fire to contact the agency at 805-227-7560, or via Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 805-549-STOP.
