A new Chick-fil-A could be coming to SLO County. Here’s where

A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is in the works for Atascadero, the city announced Tuesday.

According to the city news release, the popular chicken fast food chain has submitted a concept plan for a proposed new Chick-fil-A at the north end of the city within the Home Depot shopping center.

“Atascadero continues to attract strong interest from quality businesses, and we’re excited about the potential addition of Chick-fil-A to our community,” city manager Jim Lewis said in the release. “A project like this not only enhances local dining options but also supports continued economic growth and job creation in our city.”

The restaurant would be built at an undeveloped corner of El Camino Real and San Ramon Road, next to the SpringHill Suites Hotel, the release said. The site is near Home Depot and has easy access to Highway 101..

The project is currently in the early stages of development review process and is not guaranteed to be completed.

If successful, the new location would be the first in the county outside of Cal Poly. The next-nearest Chick-fil-A is located on Betteravia Road in Santa Maria.
