The franchise hotel at 900 El Camino Real is one of the flagship SpringHill Suites out of 327 nationwide, said Michael Wambolt, director of sales for SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
The owners, J Street Hospitality, based in San Diego, and Westar Associates, based in Costa Mesa, “saw great growth potential in the North County,” Wambolt said.
“It’s an opportunity to add a great feature to San Luis Obispo County with its location in wine country.”
The hotel employs about 40 people full time but is looking to add 15 more when it becomes fully operational, Wambolt said.
