Creative SLO business is branching out again — this time with a downtown coffeehouse
There’s a new cafe in San Luis Obispo — though you might be familiar with the name for a reason other than coffee.
Buen Dia, known for the unique San Luis Obispo and Central Coast prints sold out of its Higuera Street store, announced the opening of its latest venture, Buen Dia Coffee.
The new coffeehouse is located in The Creamery at 570 Higuera St., Suite 190.
“Your new favorite coffee place is opening tomorrow!” the business announced in an email blast to its customers Wednesday. “We’re thrilled to open our doors and offer something for every coffee lover!”
According to the announcement, the new cafe will sell a range of signature drinks, including a “Choco-latte,” “The Bonbon” and a cortado. The business will also sell its freshly roasted coffee beans in store.
The coffee shop was already partially open as of Wednesday, though the official opening was scheduled for Thursday.
The new cafe isn’t the only different type of business the local brand — headquartered at its 790 Higuera St. print shop — has expanded into recently.
Earlier this year, the company opened the Buen Dia Market in Mission Mall at 746 Higuera St. The market sells food items as well as Buen Dia branded merchandise.
