Longtime SLO County beer garden closes before Christmas. ‘It has been a blessing’

A popular San Luis Obispo County beer garden permanently closed its doors just ahead of Christmas.

Tent City Beer Company in Atascadero announced “with a heavy heart” its final day of business was Dec. 21, the business posted on Instagram.

On Tuesday, chairs were stacked up inside the closed building and oak were leaves piling up outside.

The brewery occupied 6760 El Camino Real across from Sunken Gardens for over a decade.

“Thank you for supporting us over the last 13 years,” the business said on Instagram. “It has been a blessing and we have met some amazing people.”

The 2,000-square-foot-space is now for lease, according to a post in the Everything Atascadero private Facebook group.
