Highway 41 reopens after rockslide in northern SLO County
A stretch of Highway 41 in northern San Luis Obispo County reopened Wednesday morning after a three-day closure.
The road to Fresno was closed from north of the Cholame Y interchange to Highway 33 due to a rockslide Sunday evening, causing northbound traffic to Paso Robles to pass through Highway 46 before being detoured back onto Highway 33.
According to a Facebook post from Caltrans, the highway reopened at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday after repair crews cleared debris from the road.
Crews installed concrete barriers with protective fencing and restriped the road through the affected area, according to the post.
Slope repair work, will continue behind the concrete barriers over the next month as weather allows, according to the post.
