Dutch Bros Coffee is opening another SLO County location. Here’s where

San Luis Obispo County residents will soon have another coffee option.

Dutch Bros Coffee, a national chain that has recently been spreading across the Central Coast, is opening a new spot in Nipomo, according to the company website.

The new location will be at 149 S. Frontage Road, at the former site of Little Jocko’s. The restaurant closed in mid-2021.

Construction work was ongoing on the building on Thursday. A sign posted nearby said the store is “coming soon.”

A Dutch Bros Coffee spokesman clarified Thursday that the coffeehouse is aiming to open in the fall.

Once open, the Nipomo location will be the second Dutch Bros coffee shop in San Luis Obispo County. The first spot opened to much fanfare in Arroyo Grande in February 2021.

Dutch Bros has more than 400 locations across the United States and is known for an eclectic mix of coffee, energy drinks, smoothies and other drinks, all served by an energetic crop of “bro-istas” — usually young, smiling workers who bop along to blaring music as they deliver drinks.

Another Central Coast location opened in Santa Maria in early 2021.
