These are the 10 best spots for tri-tip in SLO County. Now vote for the ultimate winner

Another week, another poll to sink your teeth into.

This week The Tribune is continuing its meaty showdown, trying to determine who has the best tri-tip in all of San Luis Obispo County.

Round 1 was tough — unlike a good slab of tri-tip. Out of the field of more than 50 contenders, a clear top 10 emerged.

With almost half of the 16,984 votes cast, The Rib Line — which has spots in San Luis Obispo and Grover Beach — was the runaway favorite for best local tri-tip.

In second place was Big Bubba’s Bad BBQ in Paso Robles, followed by Gold Land BBQ in San Luis Obispo, Wooly’s Beach Bar & Grill in Pismo Beach and Firestone Grill in San Luis Obispo, which also operates as Main Street Grill in Cambria.

Rounding out the rest of the top 10 were Jeffry’s Wine Country BBQ in Paso Robles, Old San Luis BBQ in San Luis Obispo, Jocko’s Steakhouse in Nipomo, Arroyo Grande Meat Co. & Village Butcher Shop in Arroyo Grande and Rancho Nipomo Deli and BBQ in Nipomo.

Now that those top 10 have been selected, we are asking you, dear readers, to make the ultimate decision to crown the winner of our tip-top tri-tip poll.

Select your vote for the best spot below. Feel free to vote as many times as you like and get your friends and family in on the action.

Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11.
