New upscale Mexican restaurant opens at Paso Robles Market Walk
An upscale Mexican restaurant with ties to an acclaimed Napa eatery is the newest business at Paso Market Walk.
Finca features Baja- and Sonora- style Mexican cuisine with fresh and local ingredients, according to a news release.
Located at 1803 Spring St., Finca features classic menu items such as carne asada tacos, pork belly burritos and ceviche. Specialties include wood-grilled oregano shrimp, Spanish octopus and oysters.
Guests can dine inside the hacienda-style farmhouse, formerly the Old Hometown Nursery, or find seating outside on the patio. Diners can also get carry-out meals to go.
Finca co-owner Patrick Aguirre and his wife, Stephanie, also own La Taquiza, a Mexican restaurant in Napa that has been in the Michelin Guide since 2009, according to the release.
Patrick Aguirre was the head baker of Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery and worked with chef Suzanne Goin of AOC. His wife has worked with her family’s seafood distribution company and ran restaurants in Los Angeles and Napa.
The couple’s son Diego and daughter-in-law Cecilia, both Cal Poly graduates, joined them in opening the restaurant, according to the release.
Finca is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Paso Market Walk is “a sophisticated and gracious destination for shopping, dining and gathering,” according to a news release.
Other tenants include Joebella Coffee, Just Baked Cake Studio & Bakery, Leo Leo Gelato, Momotaro Ramen, The Third Degree Grill, and The Vreamery.
